Thirty-three-year-old Kurdish singer Selim Serhed, was stabbed to death at a night club in Istanbul, Turkey, for singing in Krudish, repots Ermeni Haber citing Turkish Sondakika news agnecy.
On the occassion friend of Serhed, Onur Akay made the following post on Twitter.
"Our young friend and singer Selim Serhed was killed in a knife attack. Even worse, he was killed because he was singing Kurdish songs on stage," Akay tweeted.
Serhed was father of three children. He was best known for his "Brina Baris – Pain of Peace" song.
