The ceasefire in Yemen is extended for one week, provided that the Shiite Houthi rebels will also follow it. This, according to Lenta.ru, was declared by the country's Foreign Minister Abdel Malek al-Mehlafi in Switzerland, where the peace talks take place, which ended on Sunday, December 20.
The representatives of the warring parties agreed to meet again on January 14, 2016, to continue the negotiations. The place of consultations is not known yet.
The start of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement on December 15 coincided with the start of peace negotiations, supported by the United Nations.
