Pope Francis, during his speech to the Holy See’s diplomatic corps, said that a creative strategy is needed to deal with migrant crisis, claiming that Europe can do this without sacrificing its security or culture, The Guardian reports.
"The present wave of migration seems to be undermining the foundations of that "humanistic spirit" which Europe has always loved and defended," the Pope said.
He also added that it is possible to both "protect the rights of its citizens and to ensure assistance and acceptance to migrants".
