US Secretary of State John Kerry called for a peaceful settlement of the conflict between Palestine and Israel during a meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, gazeta.ru reports citing Reuters.
In the dialogue Kerry also reiterated the US intentions to work with each of the parties of the conflict to normalize situation in the Middle East.
"The Secretary of State went on to call for a settlement of the situation, a decrease in violence, incitement and provocative rhetoric," the US State Department spokesman John Kirby said in his statement.
