Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia is ready to sign with Transnistria and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic an agreement on mutual visa-free travel. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Kan Taniya, TASS reports.
"Minister Vyacheslav Chirikba requested international legal department of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia to prepare a draft agreement on mutual visa-free travel with the friendly Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR) and the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)," Taniya told TASS. This, he said, is connected with the Law "On procedure of exit from the Republic of Abkhazia and the entry into the Republic of Abkhazia" that will enter into force on April 1, 2016.
According to the law, only those citizens of the countries that have recognized the independence of Abkhazia and have an agreement on mutual visa-free travel, can go to Abkhazia without visa.
