If necessary, Turkey alone can start a ground military operation in Syria. This was declared by the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu in an interview with Al-Jazeera, Haqqin.az reports.
According to him, in the recent months, Turkey's territory is subject to regular shelling from the regions of Syria controlled by militants of the terrorist organization "Islamic State."
"The activity of terrorist organizations in Syria is a serious threat for Turkey and the whole world," Davutoglu said. Turkey is the only country that is actively fighting the IS, the Prime Minister said.
