Kazakhstan President’s decision to spend May 9, the Victory Day, in Moscow will promote strengthening trust between the two countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart who arrived in Moscow on Sunday, TASS informs.
In his speech the Russian President has emphasized that Kazakhstan President’s decision is, undoubtedly, the manifestation of our special relations, our allied relations. It is very pleasing for us and we would like to thank you for that," Putin said.
He also added "this decision will strengthen trust and will create favorable conditions for further development of our friendly ties."
Nazarbayev, in turn, noted the intensity of bilateral contacts. He reminded that the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union will meet by the end of May and the leaders of the two countries will have an opportunity to discuss all the problems they have. This meeting will be followed by a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Tashkent.
