Georgian Minister of Defense T.Khidasheli in Azerbaijan speaking at the final press conference of Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan defense ministerial noted:
"Yerevan had made a different choice. Armenia has made a different choice, it joined the Eurasian Union, while we are not going to join it. This also defines the level of our cooperation with Armenia - friendly, without strategic cooperation," News.az reports.
According to her, Georgia's goal is Euro-Atlantic integration, while Turkey is a NATO member, which is why this circumstance defines the Georgian-Turkish strategic cooperation, while there is no such fact in relation to Armenia.
"We do not choose! I was in Yerevan in January 2016, where I said that Azerbaijan and Turkey are the strategic partners of Georgia."
She added that there is a large Armenian Diaspora in Georgia, which is why the relations with Armenia are as important for Georgia as with Azerbaijan.
