Erdogan Vowed to Punish Those who Helps Kurdish PKK
Those who provide financial aid to the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) "will pay the price," Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said, amid allegations that Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP)-run municipalities in southeastern and eastern Turkey are aiding and supporting the organization, Hurriyet reports.
Speaking during an iftar event organized at his presidential palace in Ankara on June 23, Erdogan vowed that the state would "follow all related matters in a very sensitive way" and would "make them pay the necessary costs," in reference to HDP municipalities.
