The Justice Ministry of Turkey has been sent an official request to the U.S. on Wednesday for the provisional arrest of Fetullah Gülen, Daily Sabah informs.
In June, the ministry requested Gülen's extradition in four separate files sent to the Foreign, Interior and Justice Ministries of the U.S.
Turkish President Erdoğan told the US Vice President Biden during the US official's visit to Turkey in August that the US. could "at least" detain the FETÖ leader.
The Turkish government blames the followers of Gülen for the organization of the failed coup.
