New border guard was established in the EU on the basis of the European border service Frontex, True-News.info reports.
Its headquarters is located in Warsaw. Since December, this structure will have a constant reserve of 1,500 border guards, which in the case of a crisis situation can be quickly deployed at the external borders of the European Union. Germany created a new 225 border guards.
Under the new rules, EU countries located at the external borders of the European Union, can appeal to a new European border service with a request for assistance in protecting its borders. If they do this, other countries-EU members can introduce border controls within the Schengen zone.
