Ukrainian Famous Singer: ''I'm Crazy about Komitas, Khachaturian and Armenian Folk Songs''

In an interview with AnalitikaUA.net Ukrainian famous singer Katerina Nizkopoklonna said that although she hasn’t fully discovered the musical heritage of Armenia for herself, she appreciates the music of Komitas and Aram Khachaturian: "I'm crazy about Komitas, Khachaturian and Armenian folk songs."

The singer often listens Armenian duduk, "the duduk - simultaneously makes you think, mourn and be inspired."

Of the musicians with Armenian roots throughout the world, the singer stressed that she prefers the art of Patrick Fiori, Cher and Charles Aznavour, Sputnik Armenia reports. 

The singer also revealed the secret that she is working on the Armenian song "Baleni" (the Cherry Tree), and has already translated the text into Ukrainian: "I want to perform it in Ukrainian and Armenian, it seems to me that this song is the best way to show the connection of our cultures."
