In Scotland, the timing of the independence referendum was linked with the terms of the agreement on Britain’s withdrawal from the EU.
"After the terms Brexit will become clear, when all will have the opportunity to change course, the people of Scotland will have a choice, will hold a referendum on independence", TASS quotes the words of the first Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon.
Previously, Sturgeon announced that a second referendum on Scottish independence from the UK will take place between autumn 2018 and spring 2019.
