The US Congress agreed on the draft defense budget of the country for the 2018 financial year, which provides for the allocation of 4.6 billion dollars to "counteract" Russia in Europe, RIA Novosti reported.
In particular, the documents published on the website of the Senate approved the provision of $ 350 million in military aid to Kiev. The funds can be allocated within the framework of the "Initiative to Assist Ukraine in the Sphere of Security", which provides for the supply of "lethal defensive weapons".
In addition, the agreed draft budget provides for the allocation of 100 million dollars to help Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia to repel "Russian aggression."
