Ahead of 11th anniversary of the assassination of Istanbul Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, Garo Paylan, Istanbul Armenian MP from the opposition and pro-Kurdish People’s Democratic Party (HDP) of Turkey, submitted a written proposal to the Turkish parliament.
In his proposal, Paylan called for investigating the developments following Dink’s murder and preventing similar possible murders.
He stressed that Hrant Dink was making efforts toward Turkey’s democratization as well as peoples’ solidarity and peace, News.am reports, referring to the HDP official website.
Also, the proposal recalled that Dink was targeted by Turkish nationalists, and that a lawsuit was filed against him on the charge of denigrating Turkishness.
