Saudi Foreign Minister, Adel Al-Jubeir, warned on Wednesday, that Iran’s actions amount to a "declaration of war," Arab News reports.
According to the source the warning came after two ballistic missiles were fired toward Riyadh by Tehran-backed Houthi militias.
Adel Al-Jubeir said that Saudi Arabia would seek to develop its own nuclear weapons capacity should Iran do the same.
"If Iran acquires nuclear capability we will do everything we can to do the same."
He was speaking the day after US President Donald Trump pulled out of a 2015 deal that seeks to curtail Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain praised the decision to reimpose sanctions on Tehran.
