Georgia’s ruling party Georgian dream may nominate a candidate for the presidency of the acting Minister of infrastructure and regional development, Maia Tskitishvili, reports RIA Novosti.
"According to our data, the ruling team consider Maya Tskitishvili as a candidate for President. Tskitishvili is a favorite of the Chairman and the founder of the ruling team, Bidzina Ivanishvili," — said "Rustavi 2".
The name of the candidate will be announced in late July – early August. Presidential elections will be held in Georgia in the fall of 2018.
Tskitishvili for a long time oversaw the administration of the government. In late March she was appointed Minister of infrastructure and regional development.
