The spokesman for the ruling party in Turkey, the Justice and Development Party (AKP), said on Wednesday that United States National Security Adviser John Bolton will be visiting the country in "first days" of January for discussions on Syria and other matters, Teletrader reports.
On Monday, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's spokesman announced a visit by a military delegation from Washington this week for discussions on the US pullout from Syria and the contested purchase of S-400 missile system from Russia.
US President Donald Trump announced earlier that his will withdraw the US forces from Syria as they have "defeated ISIS." Later, he claimed that Turkey's President "will eradicate whatever is left of ISIS in Syria."
