Readers of the Russian business daily 'Vedomosti' have chosen the person of the year in six categories. According to the results of the vote, acting Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was recognized as the Politician of the Year 2018.
In this regard, Pashinyan wrote on Facebook: ''Of course, it is nice to be recognized as a political figure of the year by Russian daily, but I have to state once and for all that in Armenia a non-violent, velvet revolution was carried out; it was not "colored".
In addition to Pashinyan, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Russian and U.S. presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and head of the Republic of Khakassia Valentin Konovalov were also considered for the award.
