According to a study conducted by the Forsa Sociological Institute, 73% of Germans expressed support for the construction of the Russian Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline.
As RT reports, referring to Neue Presse, 73% of the inhabitants of the country said that the construction of the gas pipeline is the right decision.
Also, 67% of respondents consider the project safe.
Only 16% of respondents negatively refer to Nord Stream 2.
Earlier, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that the implementation of this project could not be stopped by US sanctions. The diplomat also stressed that European energy policy issues should be addressed in Europe, and not in the United States.
