Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the "campaign against the Palestinian militants is not over and requires patience and judgement'', the ''Jerusalem Post'' reports.
Netanyahu, in a four sentence statement issued by his office, made no reference to a cease fire.
"Over the past two days, we have hit Hamas and Islamic Jihad with great force, attacking over 350 targets, hitting terrorist leaders and activists, and destroying terror towers," Netanyahu said.
"The goal was and remains to ensure quiet and security for residents of the south," he said. "I send condolences to the families [of the victims] and wish the wounded a speedy recovery."
