Armenia’s highest court issued today its ruling on the appeal of Armenia’s second President Robert Kocharyan on determining the constitutionality of Articles 35 and 135.2 of the country’s Criminal Procedure Code used against him by law-enforcement authorities.
Constitutional Court Chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan in particular said that the court has recognized Article 35 of the Criminal Procedure Code as unconstitutional and invalid, Panorama reports.
Meantime, the court ruled that Part 2 of Article 135 is in conformity with the Constitution.
