Armenia MOD Delegation Pays Working Visit to Karabakh
From September 1 to 5, within the scope of the cooperation between Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) in the defense sector, as well as for the purpose of learning about the activities of the military-medical institutions of the two Armenian republics and considering the issues on the spot, the delegation led by Head of the General Department for Healthcare and Social Protection of Servicemen and for Veterans at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Colonel Aleksandr Avetisyan paid a working visit to Artsakh, as reported the news service of the Ministry of Defense.
The delegation also paid visits to the garrison hospitals of Gegharkunik and Zangezur.
During the visit to Artsakh, meetings were held with the Commander of the Defense Army, representatives of the leadership of the Defense Army of Artsakh and the health minister. The delegates were introduced to the activities of the General Department for Healthcare and Social Protection of Serviceman and for Veterans at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and discussed issues related to the health, social protection, pension security and housing issues of servicemen, their families and disabled servicemen. Agreements were reached on exchange of experience and cooperation between the Department and the relevant services of Artsakh.
