Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday called for an immediate cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh), describing the fighting as a “tragedy”, RIA Novosti reported.
“People are dying there. Moscow hopes that this conflict will end in the near future,” Putin told reporters, adding he was in constant contact with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about the situation, Panorama.am reports.
