Armenia’s Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan speaking at a press conference today voiced the need of creating demilitarized security zone in Armenia’s Syunik at least 5-7km-long, aysor.am reports.
“Today we have serious issue of using pastures, as we do not have demarcation. It is unclear where the border ends. The cattle is being lost. Our shepherds must either go and search them, or be captured or just lose their animals. We have already had such cases,” the Ombudsman said.
He also stressed the need of relevant measures to ensure physical security of the Armenian population.
Tatoyan said he does not imagine the peaceful co-living in such conditions.
“Are these shootings accidental?” the Ombudsman stressed.
