On August 17, at 09:43 local time (at 05:43 GMT) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MES of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 and 10 kilometers depth with the geographic coordinates of 41.17⁰ in northern latitude and 43.95⁰ in eastern longitude on the 13th km north-east from Bavra town of Shirak province on Georgian-Armenian border.
The magnitude of the earthquake in the epicenter was 4.
The earthquake was felt in Bavra and Ghazanchi villages of Shirak province of RA with the magnitude of 2-3, in Metsamor village of Lori province of RA with the magnitude of 2.
