Armenia Submitted Several Appeals to ECHR Requesting to Apply Interim Measures Against Azerbaijan
In the past two days Armenia has submitted several applications matching each other to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) requesting to apply interim measures against Azerbaijan, Armenia’s representative on international legal matters Yeghishe Kirakosyan said at the Cabinet meeting today.
He informed that responses were already received. "The talk is about the guarantee of rights of captured persons. At this moment more large-scale evidence about the damages is being collected and will be presented within the frames of our ongoing different international legal processes", he said.
Kirakosyan said that they are already working with all relevant authorities over the cases of human rights violations and war crimes, as well as the cases of damages of civilian facilities.
Chairman of the Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan said that criminal cases have already been launched over the facts of aggression acts, gross violations of international humanitarian law by the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.
“Large-scale investigative operations are taking place now, and the Investigative Committee will made an additional statement over it”, he said.
