Some roads are closed and difficult to pass in Armenia

The Rescue Service informs that there are closed roads and difficult to pass roads in the Republic of Armenia․

The roadways leading from "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station to Amberd fortress and to Kari lake are closed.

Vardenyats Pass is closed for all types of vehicles.

Spitak turns are difficult to pass for trucks with trailers․

Amasia-Yeghnajur, Amasia-Berdashen, Gyumri-Amasia, Lanjik-Mastara (snowstorm) and Lanjik-Talin (snowstorm) roadways are difficult to pass.

Black ice is formed on the roadways of Aragatsotn province.

It is snowing in Aragats, Aparan, Amasia, Baghramyan regions, in Ijevan, Dilijan, Chambarak, Gavar, Sevan, Spitak, Stepanavan, Vanadzor, Kajaran, Kapan, Sisian towns, Shurnukh, Verin Khotanan villages and in Sisian-"Zanger", "Meghru sar" (snowstorm) sections.

There is a snowstorm in Talin, Aragats, Ashotsk and Amasia regions (low visibility) and in Meghri town.

Fog is noticed on Kapan-Kajaran roadway.

According to the information provided by the Department of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and from the Department of Crisis Management Center of the Republic of North Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, Stepantsminda-Larsi highway is closed for all types of vehicles․

Drivers are recommended to drive exclusively on winter tires.
