Suspects in Nemtsov’s Murder Detained
Suspects in the murder of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov have been detained in the Russian Caucasian republic of Ingushetia, head of the republic’s Security Council, Albert Barakhayev, told TASS on Saturday.
Barakhayev has said that one of the detainees, Anzor Gubashev, was detained while driving from the town of Malgobek to the local village Voznesenovskaya where his mother resides and the other suspect was detained in the city of Magas.
Besides, another brother of Gubashev had been detained, he said.
Members of the suspects’ families originated from Chechnya but moved to the village of Voznesenovskaya in 1960s.
Barakhayev said Gubashev and Dadayev had housing in the Chechen capital Grozny and were living there. Dadayev had served in the Sever (North) Chechen police battalion for ten years.
