The US Will Not Recognize the Agreement Between South Ossetia and Russia
The US State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki declared that the United States will not recognize the agreement between South Ossetia and Russia that is expected to be signed today, on March 18. "The Unites States does not recognize the legitimacy of any so-called treaty between the de-facto leaders of Georgia’s break-away region of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation," – Sputnik quotes Psaki's words.
Referring to the agreement between Russia and Abkhazia, Psaki called this agreement having no international validity.
