Bako Sahakyan: Elections in Artsakh Have Always Been Exemplary
The information center of the President of Artsakh Republic informs that President of Artsakh, Bako Sahakyan, invited an extended consultation on the organization of 2015 parliamentary elections. The representatives from executive, legislative and judiciary branches of the government as well as civil society representatives took part in the consultation.
In his speech the President called May 3 National Assembly elections one of the most important processes for the existence and progress of the country.
President Sahakyan gave specific instructions to the relevant bodies to conduct election in the proper manner underling that the best should be done for the elections to pass in accordance with existing legislation and for the citizens to enjoy their absolute right of vote. According to Bako Sahakyan, the elections in Artsakh have always been exemplary and the upcoming election should be organized in the same manner.
The head of the country noticed that although the competition of ideas and opinions as well as debates is inevitable, they should be organized in civilized atmosphere where there is mutual respect.
The head of the National Assembly Ashot Ghulyan, Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan and other officials were also present during the consultations.
