RA National Assembly Condemns Violence Against Yezidis in Iraq
The mass crimes committed by the so-called terrorist organization Islamic State against religious and ethnic minorities of Syria and Iraq are constantly in the center of attention of the authorities of Armenia, the RA National Assembly and the factions represented in the Parliament. This is said in the statement of RA NA factions.
As the press service of the Armenian Parliament reports, the document also states: ''Crime and violence of extremists against Yezidis in Iraq, as a result of which a significant part of Yezidi population is in need of immediate humanitarian assistance, raise concerns.''
''Representatives and members of parliament of Armenia to the United Nations, other international organizations have repeatedly talked about the inadmissibility of what is happening and the need for humanitarian assistance. The factions of the National Assembly share the pain of the Yezidi people and assure that all international institutions will continue to require ending violence and using all possibilities for this. ''
