Why Saudi Arabia is not Happy to be in the Same Camp with Israel?

On March 29 Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, addressing the Cabinet meeting in Jerusalem particularly noted:

"After the Beirut-Damascus-Baghdad axis, Iran is carrying out a pincers movement in the south as well in order to take over and conquer the entire Middle East. The Iran-Lausanne-Yemen axis is very dangerous for humanity and needs to be stopped."

Is the fact that Netanyahu draws parallels between Iran's nuclear negotiation and the crisis in Yemen accidental? What is  the potential role of Israel in the activities of Saudi Arabia in Yemen? What about Israeli-Saudi axis?

It is not secret that Israel and Saudi Arabia, in spite of their disagreement on Israeli-Palestinian conflict, have an experience of covert cooperation. An example of such kind of past cooperation is again associated with Yemen.  In 1962 Saudi Arabia turned to Israelis to support Yemen monarch Imam Mohammad al Badr to survive the coup planned against him by the republican government in the country. In cooperation with Saudi Arabia the Israeli intelligence forces provided weapons to the royalist in Yemen.

Viewed from this perspective, the declaration made by the Secretary General of Yemen’s Al-Haq Political Party Hassan Zayd, according to which Israeli fighter-jet took part in the Saudi-led air strikes in Yemen is not accidental. The same can be stated about the information disseminated by the European sources, no matter how exaggerated in can be,  according to which  Saudis are willing to cooperate with Israel on Iran; the cooperation which will include permission to Israel to use airspace of Saudi Arabia for possible air strikes against Iran.

However for the picture to be complete one has to take into consideration also another side of the coin. There are number of serious disagreements between Israel and Saudi Arabia on a number of issues, the major of which is, as already have been mentioned, the disagreement over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The leadership continues to preserve radical stance on the issue and not blame Israel for committing a "war crime against humanity" and engaging in a "collective massacre."

Saudi Arabia is not quite happy to be in the same camp with the Israelis on the Iranian nuclear agreement. The willingness of Saudi Arabia to support agreement between the P5+1 and Iran was expressed in the reported call of King Abdullah to Obama in which the former expressed his  will "to share  the goal of a nuclear deal if it is a good one",- Al Monitor reports. Saudi Arabia is for the  formation of  UN-backed  weapons of mass destruction (WMD)-free zone in the Middle East. To  make it reality, Saudi Arabia considers Israeli nuclear arsenal as the only obstacle when the destruction of Syrian chemical weapons  is ongoing while the possibility of  Iranian nuclear agreement is high.
