Russia Will Not be Invited to G7
Germany’s Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeyer refused to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to the upcoming G7 Summit.
Last year was the first time that world’s 7 developed countries passed the G7 Summit without Russia. This was an answer to Russia’s annexation of Crimea. Today, the treatment has not changed, according to Steinmeyer the road to G8 for Russia leads through refusing from the Crimea.
It should also be mentioned that in an interview to Die Welt Steinmeyer mentioned, that Russia’s participation in solving the Sirian, Yemen and Libian crises is desirable but for now its return to G8 is impossible.
