The Europe Starts to Recognize the Importance of Russia

The Co-chairman of the Franco-Russian Dialogue Association Thierry Mariani told that France does not agree with the existing sanctions against Russia. He also added that many French citizens do not understand the policy of such a pressure on the Russian economy. The head of Franco-Russian Dialogue and Vladimir Yakunin had a meeting today to discuss the idea about the cooperation of Russia and France. The meeting also aimed at finding a way to promote certain idea over the European partner countries.

France is a very important economic partner for Russia; it has more than 1200 French companies in the Federation area. It is the second largest investor in the country. Despite the difficulties in the banking and financial systems in Russia no one French companies have left the Federation. According to the words of Mariani, France has a mixed opinion about the economic pressure on Russian by Europe, Vestnikkavkaza reports.

Russian and European economies  are strongly connected. The sanctions against Russia has also greately affected Europe. More than a quarter of Russian total export is from European countries; also it has almost the same amount of imports from Europe. The economies of Europe and Russia are merged which is the result of globalization. Gradually it becomes obvious that Western countries step by step are coming closer to Iran, which is also under sanctions because of its nuclear program. On the other hand each of these countries- Russia and Iran have a great role in the world economy, especially in natural gas and oil matters. The extension of sanctions on both countries should not be prolonged, as it is not beneficial for the either side.
