"Accession to the EEU is a demand of the time and the method to adequately react to the current challenges of the world economy. In case of proper and efficient organization within the Union, the EEU can become an important expression of regionalism in the Post-Soviet area as a counterbalance to economic and political globalization," said Manaseryan.  He also commented on the importance of economic cooperation and competition that can result in weakening the local monopolies and decreasing the prices of goods and services. According to Manaseryan, the important guarantee for fulfilling the goals is the scientific justification of adopted political decisions.

"The accession of Armenia to the EEU from the perspective of economic security has positive results: it gives an opportunity to get energy resources with lower prices as compared to the energy world prices, it opens broader market for local production and increases the possibility of investments,"  said Tavadyan. In addition Tavadyan stated that the main goal of the EEU was to ensure the growth of economic potential for the member states, which demanded coordinated economic policy.
