Kirk Kerkorian Dies at 98
Billionaire investor and real estate titan of Armenian origin Kirk Kerkorian died at the age of 98. He died on June 15 in Los Angeles in his home and this was confirmed by Anthony Mandekic, the president and CEO of Kerkorian’s company Tracinda Corp, LA Times writes.
"He was the most brilliant person I've ever run across, and so respectful of everyone. He gave everything he could, right to the end. We have lost such a great icon. He was truly something special," Mandekic told the LA Times.
Kirk Kerkorian was also very special person for Armenia and Armenians, as he has always been with his country and has helped during its bad years. In 2004 he was awarded the title of National Hero of Armenia for his invaluable help to the homeland. He also donated a multimillion-dollar contributions to the fund of Artsakh, supporting the struggle of the Artsakh people for their independence.
