Ambassador of Iran: Armenia As a Good Regional Transit Corridor
During the meeting with reporters on July 24, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Mohammad Reisi commenting on Iran-Armenia relations noted:
"Iran views Armenia as a good regional transit corridor between the Black Sea and the Persian Gulf. 3 billion 200 million dollars are required for its construction of the transit route. This in its turn requires a serious investor who is not found yet." as Artsakh Press reports Mohammad Reisi stated.
The ambassador of Iran to Armenia in addition also noted that the lifting of Iranian sanctions will boost relations between Iran and Armenia.
"The main priority of Iran foreign policy is the development of relations with its neighbors. During the forthcoming month the Vice President of Iran will visit Armenia in response to the visit of the Armenia PM - Hovik Abrahamyan. Negotiations on Armenia-Iran energetic projects, as well as on already signed projects (North-South Program, Meghri HPP) between Armenia and Iran will be held during the visit."
