The Unemployed of Hungary Will Be Invited to Build a Fence on Serbian Border
The Hungarian authorities have suggested the unemployed to get engaged with the construction of the fence with Serbia, designed to reduce the flow of illegal migration, as it is reported in Hungarian media.
According to the speaker of the regional government, Martha Varga, in an experiment that could be repeated on similar projects in the future, work on the construction of the fence is offered to all the registered people at the labor exchange.
According to Varga, in this case, the work does not require special skills of applicants, although in some areas a license for the management of industrial transport is required.
The government mainly invited the unemployed from Morahaloma and Szeged - the closest cities to the fence. However currently the soldiers of the Hungarian army are employed in the construction of the fence. It is expected that the construction of 175-kilometer fence of four meters height will be completed by 31 August.
