Presentation of the Manual "The Psychology of Pain" Took Place in Yerevan

On September 9, in the framework of the first anniversary of Center of Psychosocial Regulation  the presentation of the manual "The Psychology of Pain" written by the psychologist of the Center Sona Harutyunyan, took place.  During the presentation the author spoke about both the idea of the book and its practical necessity. In her speech she said that "The Psychology of Pain" is the first Armenian such manual and is specifically designed for future doctors, also adding that the problem of pain is a subject, any information about which can be interesting for common people.

"The book has a number of features. First of all, the problem of pain is covered by a comprehensive approach – by both medical and psychological approaches. Also practical guidelines are given for pain diagnosis, as well as there are questions for checking yourself and also psychological tests, " the author explained.

After introducing the structure and the contents of the book, Harutyunyan answered to the questions of journalists and students and received countless warm congratulations.

In an answer to "Armedia" IAA’s question what the aim of the book is, Sona Harutyunyan answered: "The main aim of the book is to make the future doctors become aware of the problem of pain from the psychological point of view. This book is one of the greatest achievement of my professional activities."
