This Week in Europe

Below we would like to draw your attention to the upcoming events in Europe that directly concern or present a particular interest for Armenia. Special attention is paid to international organizations and the scheduled meetings and events in the framework of their activities.

On October 5-8 plenary session of the European Parliament will take place in Strasbourg. During the session the situation in Syria and Turkey will be discussed . Also on October 7 the French President, François Hollande, and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel will address the EP Plenary on the situation in the EU.

On October 5 the President of the European Commission will receive the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

On October 7 the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn is to receive Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia. The next day Kvirikashvili will also meet the EU High Representative Federica Mogherini.

 NATO Parliamentary Assembly Annual session will take place on October 9-12 in Norway.
