The Meeting of the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaija to Take Place by the End of the Year
The OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs intend to organize a meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the end of this year. This was stated today in Yerevan by the OSCE Minsk Group US Co-Chair James Warlick. According to him, the organization of the meeting on a high level will be one of the points of discussion during his visit to Yerevan and Baku.
"As far as I know, in early December, a referendum will be held in Armenia. Therefore, the meeting based on the schedules of the presidents may be organized after the referendum, but by the end of the year," Warlick said. According to him, it is necessary to intensify the negotiating process on the level below the presidents. This may be a committee or working group. Projects of public diplomacy are also needed, which co-chairs are ready to assist.
