EC will Develop a Proposal to Amend the Dublin Agreement
The head of the supreme executive body of the EU, Jean-Claude Juncker, declared that the European Commission will develop in the spring of the year 2016 or earlier proposals to amend the Dublin agreement on asylum in the European Union that does not work, CYP Live.
Dublin agreement of 1990 years, which was signed by all EU member states, provided that the responsibility for examining the asylum rests with the country whose border crossing was originally a refugee at the entrance to the EU.
"Since it (Agreement - Ed.) Did not work, we can not implement it, and why the European Commission will make appropriate proposals during the spring 2016 years or sooner" - quoted Juncker agency Belga.
According to the latest European border agency Frontex, for the first nine months of the year to the European Union brought together more than 710 thousand migrants. The European Commission said that the current immigration crisis in the world - the biggest since the Second World War.
