NATO Supports Turkey
NATO welcomes Turkey's efforts to establish contacts with Russia and calls for calmness, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg after his meeting with Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, RIA Novosti reports.
"All Allies fully support Turkey's right to defend its territorial integrity and airspace. I welcome Turkey's efforts to establish contacts with Moscow to de-escalate the situation. It is important to stay calm and reduce tension" Stoltenberg said.
He also once more urged the Russian Federation to play a constructive role in Syria, when acting against the IS.
