NKR Deputy Prime Minister: Azerbaijan should Cooperate with Artsakh on the Joint Use of Sarsang Reservoir Water
The fake resolution of PACE titled "Inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately deprived of water" does not have any connection with the reality, the Deputy Prime Minister of NKR Arthur Aghabekyan wrote this on his Facebook.
"Azerbaijani authorities should not hide themselves from their people with PACE resolutions, they should either pump water with pumping stations and deliver it to their people, or should cooperate with the authorities of Artsakh on the joint use of the water of Sarsang reservoir, which will be beneficial both for the people of Artsakh and the people living in the territory of Azerbaijan on Artsakh border," Deputy Prime Minister wrote.
According to him, the authorities of Artsakh need support in constructing the water line designed back in 2001, which will deliver the water of Sarsang reservoir to the farmers of Martakert, Askeran and Martuni region. The project costs 15 million AMD.
