Russia Cannot Cancel Visa Regime with Georgia

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said that Russia cannot cancel visa regime with Georgia at this stage, Interpressnews reports.
Karasin made the announcement for reporters in Prague, before meeting with Georgian Prime Minister's Special Representative Zurab Abashidze in Prague.
"The fact that Georgia lifted visa regime with Russia it is its sovereign right. We cannot do it for various reasons, including safety concerns. As you know, the Russian President has recently made a decision to expand the circle of people who can invite Georgian citizens to Russia. Therefore, every year we issue 25 thousand visas and we will issue more in the future," Karasin said.
