Clinton's Electronic Correspondence: ''Wikileaks'' Shows Also Records of Armenia
On March 16, 2016 WikiLeaks launched a searchable archive for 30,322 emails & email attachments sent to and from Hillary Clinton's private email server while she was Secretary of State. The 50,547 pages of documents stretch from June 30, 2010 to August 12, 2014.
99 of those e-mails include records regarding Armenia. Most of these records are particularly related to the preparatory stage of the Armenian-Turkish protocols' signing in 2009. They mostly tell about Merkel's phone conversations with the Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu.
''The Turks will submit the agreement signed with Armenia over the weekend to Parliament today as promised, making it possible for the Armenian President to visit Turkey for the soccer match,'' Cheryl Mills from the staff of the Secretary of State sent this to Hillary Clinton on 10-12-2009, with the subject span.
As the records showed, there have also been some emails concerning Armenian-Azerbaijani relashionship. On 06-29-2009, for instance, Cheryl Mills sent the following passage to Mrs. Clinton with the subject SENIOR STAFF AND DEPUTIES MEETINGS.
''A senior Azerbaijani lawmaker said the European Union might emerge as a new mediator if Russian-brokered talks with Armenia fail to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.''
Another noteworthy record is the one sent on December 22, 2011 by Abedin Huma to then State Secretary with the subject ''French lower house backs Armenia genocide bill''.
''France's lower house of parliament approved a bill on Thursday that would make it criminal offence to deny genocide, in a move that has caused tension between Paris and Ankara. The bill has triggered outrage in Turkey as it would include the 1915 mass killing of Armenians in Ottomon Turkey. The bill will next be put to the Senate, or upper house, for debate in 2012, with its backers hoping that it will be adopted before parliament takes a break at the end of February ahead of presidential elections.''
However, Clinton's State Department began to publish the content of the e-mail server since last May, after discovering that she had a personal account used for official correspondence. The White House announced that all the US officials have been given some very clear instructions on how to use office mail.
