Artsakh Has a New Ombudsman
The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic National Assembly approved Ruben Melikyan to the position of NKR Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman), Artsakh Press reports.
The newly appointed Ombudsman expressed his gratitude to MPs for trust and noted that the will present inhuman atrocities committed by Azerbaijan during the four-day war on international platforms.
"These atrocities should be condemned and international community should give respective response. There is enough evidence for which NKR Human Rights Defender’s Office will work in a consistent way," said Ruben Melikyan .
He added that he will continue his former counterpart's work and will further internationalize and publicize the activity of Human Rights Defender’s Institute.
