Putin and Erdogan Discussed the Situation in Syria

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in Syria in a telephone conversation on Friday, the Kremlin said, Sputnik News reports.
"A phone call of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place by initiative of the Turkish side… The leaders exchanged opinions comprehensively on the situation in Syria. The importance of joint efforts in fighting terrorism was noted," the statement reads.
It also adds that the presidents also discussed the issues of further development of Turkish-Russian cooperation in political, trade and economic sectors.
