I Hope that Georgians will not Forget Russian Language: Almazbek Atambayev

I can answer in Russian, without an interpreter, because I think that Georgians have not forgotten Russian language, - Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev said at a joint press conference today when asked about Russian invasion, Interpressnews.ge reports.
"I hope that Georgians will not forget Russian language, as the contribution of the Georgian people was not only the commander-in-chief in the World War II. We grew up by listening to Georgian songs and reading Georgian books. I used to read a book about Giorgi Saakadze and other fine books in my childhood. All Kyrgyz are aware of Shota Rustaveli's poem The Knight in the Panther’s Skin and a lot of Kyrgyz people name their children after Amiran, Avtandil, Nestan. Many also think that it is our poem,"- said the President of Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, Almazbek Atambayev said that Kyrgyzstan supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.
He invited his Georgian counterpart Giorgi Margvelashvili to Kyrgyzstan.
